The joint action of GRP151 and P2X3 contribute to the modulation of neuropathic pain

In this study, authors demonstrated that GPR151 is highly expressed in dorsal root ganglion neurons (DRG). This receptor, coupled with the P2X3 ionic channels, modulates CSF1-induced microglial activation, which is essential for the initiation and maintenance of neuropathic pain. This data portray GPR151 and P2X3 as a promising therapeutic targets for this condition.
