CAPSAICIN-INDUCED DEPOLYMERIZATION OF AXONAL MICROTUBULES MEDIATES ANALGESIA FOR TRIGEMINAL NEUROPATHIC PAIN

This research suggests that capsaicin increases microtubule depolymerization, which induces axonal ablation and, therefore, mediates analgesia for neuropathic pain of the trigeminal nerve. To test their hypothesis, the researchers studied the effects of microtubule stabilization on capsaicin-induced axonal ablation, and analgesia for trigeminal neuropathic pain in mice.
